QUESTIONS WE GET A LOT

Frequently asked questions

Honest answers about turf, pavers, courts, water savings, ROI, and what to expect during the install. Don't see yours? Just ask — we respond personally within 24 hours.

How long does premium artificial turf last?
Premium artificial turf installed with proper base prep and a stone border typically lasts 15-25 years. The blade fibers are UV-stabilized and rated for hundreds of thousands of foot-traffic cycles. Cheap turf installed over loose dirt fails inside 3-5 years — base prep is where lifespan is won or lost.
Is artificial turf safe for dogs?
Yes. We install pet-specific infill that drains urine and rinses clean with a hose. No fertilizer, no pesticides, no muddy paws. Portland is the #1 dog-owner city in the US, and pet yards are our fastest-growing residential segment.
How much does a paver border add to a turf install?
A paver border typically adds $38–55 per linear foot to the install. On a standard 800 sq ft backyard with 80–120 linear feet of border, that's $3,000–6,500. The border is what makes the install last — turf alone fails at the edges, lifting and separating within years. Stone-bordered turf stays put for the full 15–25 year lifespan.
Do you do sport courts?
Yes. Pickleball, basketball, multi-sport, and futsal courts for premium homes, HOAs, churches, and private clubs across the Salem-Portland corridor. Every court is a custom project — talk to us directly for a real quote, no AI auto-estimate.
How much water can artificial turf save?
On a typical 800 sq ft turf lawn vs. irrigated grass, you'll save roughly 44,000 gallons per year. That's significant in Portland where water rates went up 7.7% in 2025-26 — the third year of 7%+ increases. The water savings alone can recoup the install cost over 5-8 years on most lawns.
Does turf and pavers add value when I sell the home?
The National Association of Realtors reports paver patios recoup roughly 95% of their cost at resale. Premium artificial turf installs add 3-10% to home value in markets where water conservation and low-maintenance living are priorities — the entire Pacific Northwest qualifies.
How long does an install take?
A standard 600-1,000 sq ft turf + paver border install takes 3-5 working days from base prep to finished install. Larger full-conversion projects with multiple zones, lighting, or drainage work run 7-12 days. We give you a firm window at the free site visit.
What's included in the warranty?
10-year turf warranty, 5-year paver warranty, 2-year workmanship warranty on every install. Terms attached to the signed contract — see contract for what's covered and what isn't.
Do you do free estimates?
Two stages, both free. (1) Upload a yard photo on /estimate — our AI render tool shows you the finished install with itemized pricing in about 2 minutes. (2) Once you book, we drive out for a free site visit, take real measurements, and lock the final price in writing before any work starts.
Do you speak Spanish?
Sí. Toda la conversación — desde la primera llamada hasta la instalación — funciona en inglés o español, lo que sea más fácil para usted. Israel y el equipo son bilingües.
What cities do you serve?
We install across 12 cities along the I-5 corridor: Portland, Salem, Canby, Wilsonville, Oregon City, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Tualatin, Sherwood, Beaverton, Aurora, Hubbard. Don't see your city? Fill out an estimate — we may still cover it.
How is the AI estimate different from a regular quote?
Most contractors give you a wide range over the phone or take a week to send a written estimate. We use GPT-4o vision to measure your yard from a single photo, calculate the install cost from our real price book, and render a photorealistic preview of the finished install — all in about 2 minutes. The final price is still locked at the free in-person site visit.
